Friday 1st October 2021 

ENGLISH

First, we take a test on irregular verbs (page 104).

We correct homework from Wednesday.

We use the rest of the time to explain the project we are going to do throughout the year about Spain's culture and tradition creating a musical tale, coordinated by Rosa in Music and Art Class. We will include what we learn in Social Science too.




We are going to start with this work for next Friday. It corresponds to Social Science Project Time (pages 8 and 9).

Thursday 30th September 2021 

ENGLISH

6ºB has no English Lesson Today. We use our English lesson in 6º A to think, write and discuss the main CLASSROOM RULES we should apply this year.

Remember, we can use the model provided. But our rules need to be SIMPLE, CLEAR and EASY to REMEMBER.

We write them individually.
REMEBER, we use always a positive sentence, describing the correct behaviour expected.

Then we discuss it in groups of two or three, and then with the whole class.

Our friends from 6ºB are doing the same in Spanish. Together, we will have a chart with our rules in both languages.

Study the irregular Verbs on page 104 (only that page for now), for a brief test tomorrow.

Open Class Book on Page 5.  In pairs, we do activity 5 orally.

Then we open our Activity Books on page 120. We have a look at the table and do activities 1 and 2. We correct them.


Next, we move to pages 6 and 7 and we do activities 2 and 3 orally. 
We listen and read the story. 

Finally we watch the story.


HOMEWORK

Watch the story again and do activities 1,2 and 3 in your Activity Book page 5.
Create a nice cover page for Unit 1 in your notebook including these OBJECTIVES

Visita al Parque de Educación Vial de Aluche. 

Hemos pasado una mañana fantástica al aire libre en el Parque de Educación Vial de Aluche. Montando en bicicleta hemos practicado los conocimientos de Seguridad Vial que hemos ido aprendiendo a lo largo de toda primaria. Ha sido genial... tanto el circuito en bicicleta como el poder viajar en autobús con nuestros compañer@s y maestr@s.

Visita al Parque de Educación Vial de Aluche


Vamos a realizar una actividad sobre Educación Vial, al aire libre. Montaremos en bicicleta para hacer un circuito respetando las normas de tráfico.

Vestimos ropa deportiva (pantalón largo preferentemente) y calzado cómodo que nos permita pedalear sin problema. Aunque esperamos que no llueva, conviene que todos llevemos un chubasquero con capucha, por si acaso.

Es importante que recordéis traer a clase sólo una mochila pequeña con una botella de agua y algo para tomar a media mañana. No hay que traer la mochila grande con los libros o cuadernos.

En la mochila meteremos también la bolsita que tenemos en clase con el gel hidro alcohólico, pañuelos de papel y la mascarilla de repuesto.

Monday 20th September 2021 ENGLISH

We project the diagnostic test on the board and we finish correct it. This way we can check out the main difficulties you may have found.

We start using our text book. We write the big question in the starter unit on the poster. Individually we think of posible answers and write them on a post it note. We share with the class and put them on the poster.

Friday 17 September SOCIAL SCIENCE

We are going to use today's lesson to finish the tasks we started this week:

  1. Cover page for Science Notebook
  2. Cover Page for Social Science Unit 1 with OBJECTIVES (page 4).
  3. Political map (translucent paper) attached to the following page.
  4. Remember that you need to colour the different autonomous communities and locate the capital of each. Below the map, we write the list. 

Do LIVEWORKSHEET (SOCIAL SCIENCE  6º) numbers 1 (complulsory) and 2 (voluntary)
If you don't finish at school, you will finish at home as homework for the weekend.

If we have time we can play some sets of Plickers or other interactive game about maps.


REMEMBER, NEXT WEEK we will start using our text books.

We will write some of the main CLASSROOM RULES  on a paper, individually and in silence, while we finish the speaking part of the diagnostic test.

Then, if we have time, we can discuss it with a partner and choose the ones we like best to be presented to the class.

 Wednesday 15 September ENGLISH

Today we are going to use our lessons to work on CLASSROOM and SCHOOL RULES.

As a reference, I will share this document with you. 

Here you can see the rules used by students at the school I used to teach in USA. I think we can get some ideas and vocabulary for our own classroom rules.

These rules were written before the COVID-19 pandemic, so we should not forget to include some rules related to prevention.

With these videos we can learn more about this microscopic enemy that is causing huge damage all over the world. We will remember important recommendations to be protected at school.







There are lots of songs about this topic on the Internet. This is a very simple one with very clear and useful safety measures we should follow to fight the virus.

Today we continue with the speaking test. While one student is taking the speaking test, the rest will trace a political map of Spain on translucent paper and locate the capital cities of the 17 autonomous communities.

There is no homework today yet. Just practice some English interactive worksheets.

You will surely get some homework from next week on. Use these afternoons to get all your supplies ready.

 Monday 13 September ENGLISH

Today we are taking the DIAGNOSTIC TEST of ENGLISH (Listening, Reading, Writing and Grammar). We will star with the speaking test too.

The test might be a little long, so we will use the two lessons we have with each group.
