Concurso de Primavera de Matemáticas
¡Enhorabuena, Javier!
El jueves 28 de abril Javier Neila (6ºB) ha recibido un premio en la Facultad de de Matemáticas de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, por haber quedado entre los veintiséis primeros clasificados en la Segunda Fase del Concurso de Primavera de Matemáticas, celebrado el sábado 23 de abril.
En esta segunda fase participaron también Jaime (6ºA) y Martín (5ºB) por haber sido quienes obtuvieron la mejor puntuación en la primera fase del concurso.
¡Enhorabuena a los tres!
La entrega de premios ha resultado muy emotiva. Javier ha recogido su diploma y unos regalos en un escenario donde, además de otros alumnos premiados, había gente muy importante de la universidad y del mundo de las matemáticas.

First we watch the video and answer the questions.
Next, we open AB page 91.
Try to do all the activities carefully on your own.
Next, we listen to the song before correcting activity 1.
Finally, we correct activities 1, 2 and 3.

Today we are going to read an email and we will learn how to write one too. Class book pages 100 and 101.
First, we listen and read Liam's email.
Next we have a look at the second email liam wrote to his class.
We do activities 1, 2 and 3 in the notebook. You don't need to copy the questions, JUST ANSWERS.

GRUFFALO SHOW
Con motivo de la semana del Libro, los alumnos y alumnas de sexto han estado preparando una actuación muy especial para los alumnos de primero y segundo.
Hemo representado la historia del Gruffalo en inglés. Detrás de unos biombos, algunos leíamos lo que decían los personajes, mientras otros compañeros movían unos títeres detrás de un escenario.
Hemos cantado una canción y la hemos escenificado también para ayudar a los más pequeños a comprender la historia.
Ha sido una experiencia fabulosa que todos hemos disfrutado mucho.

Today we have a Grammar Lesson. We talk about the past perfect tense. (had + past participle):
She had lost her keys.
I'd labelled all the boxes.
We hadn´t finished our homework.
Had they forgotten their passports?
We use the past perfect with the past simple to talk about events in the past. We use the past perfect to talk about the event that happened first.
When the van arrived, we hadn't packed our suitcases.
We have a look at the story on pages 96-97 and we do activity 1 (page 98) orally. Then we find other examples of past perfect tense.

Tuesday 19th APRIL 2022
Before starting with the Grammar lesson, we are going to revise the vocabulary words we learned before holidays.
Today we have a Grammar lesson about the use of past continuous for interrupted actions (using the connector while) and for parallel actions (using the connector and). Class Book Page 95.
We listen and read the Chat Room first.
We answer the questions in activity 2 orally.
We have a look at the table in activity 3. We distinguish between interrupted actions and parallel actions, and the use of the connectors while and and.
We pay attention to the use of a comma by watching this animation:
We do activity 4 orally and then we copy the sentences in the notebook. We also have a look at the picture in activity 5. We make some sentences orally. Then we write two in our notebooks (one with while and one with and).
